The Trust is looking for a highly skilled and motivated nurse to develop the role of Children’s Continence Advisor. Following a gap in service provision was identified, this exciting new post that has recently established to improve the quality of care to children with continence needs. It is intended that the role will establish and provide a children’s continence assessment service. The post will be based within the Children’s Services Directorate and will work in partnership with the adult continence team to provide a service to an already identified cohort of children. In the long term this post will support the development of continence services for children in Newcastle ensuring the children are regularly assessed as they develop and ensuring the most appropriate advice and treatment to attain continence. The post will involve providing training and support to primary and secondary care enhancing skills and acting as a resource to ensure service improvement.
