Job Description

Following Future in Mind recommendations Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is currently transforming service provision for children and young people with eating disorders in the county. We are currently developing a young people’s eating disorder pathway which will provide a seamless approach to care by providing community, crisis/home treatment, day unit and inpatient support for young people. The countywide Community Eating Disorder Service for Children and Young People (CEDS-CYP) will provide a range of therapeutic intervention for service users with a range of eating disorders that need a specialist approach, through a staff skill mix from a variety of disciplines, offering a range of perspectives, experience and clinical knowledge, within a variety of settings who will be part of the pathway team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable team player with experience of both team and autonomous working; sound knowledge of child and adolescent mental health; significant experience of working with children with eating disorders; the ability to work autonomously, through supervision from a senior Nurse; the ability to communicate effectively with children, young people and their families; the ability to remain calm under pressure and a willingness to work flexibly in an evolving service. The CEDS-CYP is committed to providing supervision and training to the team.
