We are seeking and enthusiastic and innovative Nursery nurse who will work within the newly developing Health visiting skill mix team.Our Nursery Nurses work as a team to cover the area and have the opportunity to discuss issues at the Nursery Nurse forum.
The area of Basildon and Brentwood , Essex, consists of a very diverse client group.
The successful candidate will take a pro-active role in health education and promotion including the design of displays and ordering of appropriate materials
They will run support groups as agreed with the team and service users, healthy child clinics, arrange health promotion displays and undertake development assessments. Home visiting and follow up visits include; advice on play and stimulation, introduction to solids, undertake transfer in visits and Speech and language reviews and Ages and Stages development assessments.
3 essential criteria for the post ;
NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy
NNEB or equivalent
Full Driving Licence
