Job Description

Nursing Home Manager RGN - Elderly and dementia nursing home - Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire - Salary in region of £50,000 dependent on experience

I am currently looking for an experienced Registered General Nurse with proven involvement in a Home or Deputy Home Manager position to head this large elderly and dementia nursing home in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

My client is part of one of the largest, most recognisable private healthcare providers in the UK's private health sector. Due to their prominence on a national scale, you will benefit from a fully comprehensive induction and training package which will continue to support and guide you throughout your career in the company. You will be a Nursing Home Manager (RGN) with experience working at this level or a Deputy Home Manager looking to progress. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a service and play a pivotal role in providing some well needed stability in the home.

The large service is split over two floors and has a separate high dependency EMI unit which delivers a high standard of care to individuals suffering from age related degenerative cognitive illness. Although the team structure is experienced, the home is looking for a new Manager with proven longevity in leading a team and providing consistency to a team who require stability and a strong Home Manager.

The role of the Nursing Home Manager (RGN) is:

•Provide leadership to all staff in order to deliver the highest possible quality of care within a safe working and living environment
•Be the person in charge responsible for the day-to-day running of the unit with 24 hour responsibility for the care of the residents
•Manage the effective use of resources and maintain high levels of occupancy
•Must comply with all regulatory and legislative requirements at all times and in particular the Commission for Social Care Inspection for the Registration and Inspection of Nursing -Homes and the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety
Work in conjunction with the Services Manager to participate in the budgetary process for the home

As Nursing Home Manager (RGN) you will have:

•Proven management experience in a similar environment
•A relevant nursing qualification (RGN)
•Current and valid registration with the NMC
•The legal right to work in the UK
