An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen to join our established team at The Lakes. We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic occupational therapist to work as part of our clinical and therapeutic team. The post holder will expected to work Monday-Friday flexibly between the hours on 9:00am - 8:00pm providing both group and individual interventions. The Lakes is based in Colchester and provides a service to North Essex. It is an Adult Acute Inpatient Unit with 2 wards – Gosfield, 18 male beds & Ardleigh, 18 female beds. The wards provide inpatient care to people when their mental illness cannot be managed in the community. The Unit also provides the Health Based Place of Safety (Section 136 Suite).
It is an exciting time within our Acute Services as there is a national focus on ‘Improving acute psychiatric care for adults in England.’ Locally we have started to implement service improvements including the modernisation of our units, and we are innovatively developing our operational model, reviewing how it supports the whole system.
