Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Occupational Therapist with the necessary skills, experience and vision to work as part of the OT team at our client's hospital in Worthing.

  • Salary: Band 6 depending on experience (£35,528-£34189)
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week. 4 days would be considered
  • Annual Leave: 25 days FTE plus bank holiday entitlement
  • Location: Worthing

Our client provides a multi-disciplinary approach to the care and slow stream rehabilitation of those with neurological and medical disabilities, with many residents having served with H.M. forces. The Occupational Therapist band 6 role within the hospital is diverse and varied.

You will be a qualified and HCPC registered OT, have experience working within a multi-disciplinary environment and be able to demonstrate your commitment to effective team working. Preferably you will also have experience working in a neuro rehab setting.

We are looking for a person with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written who is proficient using various computer systems and programmes. The successful candidate needs to be a good manager of time with the ability to work under their own initiative whilst being a good team player.

Essential Occupational Therapist Skills and Qualifications

  • BSc or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Evidence of recent and relevant CPD training eg Neurological Conditions, Care of Older people
  • At least 2 years post graduate experience. Experience of MDT working
  • Ability to assess for appropriate aids, wheelchairs and seating
  • Ability to carry out standardised cognitive assessments
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills
  • Prioritisation and caseload management skills
