The hospital's consultant-led multidisciplinary teams (MDT) have a wealth of clinical and research experience in psychiatry, enabling service users to benefit from a broad range of individual and group therapies.
We are looking to appoint a full time occupational therapist within our 21 bedded Rehabilitation and Recovery Unit for long stay Adults, 18+ with continuing care needs.
The Occupational Therapist will be expected to manage patients using patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions required for recovery in line with the Multi disciplinery team setting. There will be an expectation and opportunity for the post holder to provide direct therapeutic support as well as in groups.
The successful candidates will be required to manage and co-ordinate the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services ensuring treatments, activities and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication. He/She will receive and respond promptly to referrals undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis.
You will Maintain accurate and timely records detailing each patients rehabilitation / progress enusuring the effective and efficient management of more junior staff.
The successful candidate will hold a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy together with full BAOT membership and HPC registration.
