Band 7 Occupational Therapist (30 hrs per week) Community Multiple Sclerosis Team (CMST)

Neurological services have great pleasure in seeking a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join the CMST based at Walkergate Park, providing community based neuro rehabilitation to people with MS across the North East region.

You will be expected to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and proivide clinical leadership for Occupational Therapy provision. This will involve assessment and treatment for patients with MS in both the community and in an out-patient setting. The post holder will also be expected to provide support to the other community teams based at Walkergate Park and as such this will have opportunities to work with clients with a range of neurological conditions other than MS

There will be the opportunity to develop this post, incorporating research into your practice, learn from and contribute to a highly specialist and experienced group of therapists working in a nationally renowned Centre with excellent CPD opportunities, providing a sound foundation to your clinical and professional career. The post holder will also have opportunities to supervise and support junior OT’s and rehab assistants and take an active part in their development.
