Job Description

I am working on behalf of my favourite client in the East Midlands, who require an Adults Occupational Therapist to join their team. The team are comprised of experienced OT's who have 2+ years experience within a Locality or Community Adults Teams and all members of the close knit team have a good working knowledge of equipment and assessments alongside safeguarding adults. You will benefit from this experience as well as add to the provision of service and be part of a supportive and high performing team. Our client would love a candidate who is confident in their report writing skills and has a keen eye for details.

The role will involve a number of keys areas, but the key is to ensure you provide the best care for all service users. As with all roles in this sector, you will have a manage a caseload and be supported by the team to ensure the delivery of this. Other duties will consist of:

•Be responsible for the occupational therapy assessment and support planning.
•Assessing individual needs.
•Promoting the principles of choice and control, personalisation and self directed support to ensure that service users can assess and manage their own needs, risks and uncertainties.
•Review of complex individual needs and coordination of a range of outcomes to meet them.
•Ensure all available reablement opportunities are used and signpost to those services if required.
•Following appropriate training undertake assessments using a range of health and social care tools, for example, moving and handling assessments, specialist occupational therapy assessments, moving and handling assessments, Best Interests Assessments.
•Detailed knowledge of community care services within health and social care settings

Alongside all of the above, you will also earn a top market rate of £33.85 per hour on this interim contract as well as have access to free on site parking, mileage paid when travelling to service users and have the commitment of at least 6 months work.
