Operational Lead Community Rehabilitation Teams
Band 7, £31,383 - £41,373 p.a.
375 hours per week
It is an extremely important and certainly exciting time for our community rehabilitation teams as we move towards a new model of service delivery. The new model is primarily centred on improving patient care by reducing the small silos within which teams have evolved and replacing them with new rehabilitation pathways and moving towards better coordination and support for our dedicated therapy staff. Part of this process has included re-evaluating our therapy leadership structure and the creation of a Clinical Lead role for Physiotherapy and one for Occupational Therapy as well as two multi-disciplinary Operational Lead roles. These posts will work together with the Rehabilitation Coordinator and Locality Lead for Rehabilitation to implement the vision for our NSCP rehabilitation services.
We would now welcome applications for the post of Operational Lead Community Rehabilitation Teams. The post holder must have a clinical background from either Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy and be passionate about improving rehabilitation services. The Operational Lead will act as a role model to our therapy staff and lead on the standardisation of processes and implementation of the new rehabilitation pathways. These pathways will create an ability to share therapy resource across services to enable best use of organisation wide skill-mix and rehabilitation capacity. This will include embedding a consistent approach to the prioritisation of referrals and resultant improvement in the equity of access to comparable services for patients.
The Operational lead will take a multi-professional management approach and align closely with other multi-professional leaders such as those at North Somerset Community Hospital, the team coordinators within our locality teams and others within acute and social care partners. They will be responsible for the operational management of the community rehabilitation teams with support from the others in the therapy leadership structure.
If you would like any more information about the position, please do not hesitate to contact Nicki Carr, Rehabilitation Coordinator on ( Phone number removed ) and I will be more than happy to discuss.
In return you will also have access to a range of benefits including pension scheme; annual leave (27 days on joining), child care voucher scheme, cycle scheme and employee assistance programme.
