Job Description

Spire Healthcare
Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse – Wirral
Based at Spire Murrayfield Hospital, The Wirral
£28,000 - £30,000

At Spire Healthcare, we provide the highest standards of healthcare, from the moment our patient gets in touch with us until after treatment has been completed. With over 30 years’ experience, we’re proud of our dedicated and highly trained team, which consistently achieves excellent results. What sets us apart is our people, from the very best medical professionals to attentive and highly experienced support staff. Talented people like you.

Flexible and empathetic in your approach, you will provide planned care for patients within the perioperative stage. It’s a chance to enhance your skills as you assist in the management and organisation of care in the operating theatre. Your role will see you assessing patients’ health and wellbeing, developing tailored plans of care for each patient and communicating this plan to patients in language that they will understand. Ready to promote and model good practice, you will also enable others to apply their knowledge within the surgical setting.

Job Requirements

A registered nurse or operating department practitioner (ODP), you will bring experience of working in teams in a caring role. It’s likely you’ll be working towards a post registration qualification in perioperative practice if you are a nurse, or in orthopaedics if you are an ODP. You’ll definitely be fully engaged in continuing professional development. An expert on health and safety and infection control guidelines, you will have a flair for communication and working collaboratively. Your passion for caring will shine through.
