We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated OT to join our well established and innovative Children’s OT service that combines the traditional roles of both health and social services OTs. We are a dynamic, friendly and supportive team of OTs and OT Technical Instructors who have a wide range of skills and expertise. The service has a good reputation and we work closely with colleagues across Children’s Services in Health, CAMHS, Education and Social Services. We have recently relocated to a modern purpose built Children’s Development Centre promoting MDT working and shared working spaces.
This post will provide OT services for children with a wide range of disabilities and difficulties, including neuro-developmental and sensory processing needs across a range of settings. Along with clinical work the post holder will also supervise OT students on placements and contribute to service development. Regular supervision, support and development opportunities will be provided.
Post-graduate experience is required, including experience working with children at under-graduate or post-graduate level or in another relevant setting. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn and commitment and motivation to meet the needs of children, young people and their families.
Our integrated health and social services OT team provides you with an excellent opportunity to broaden your skills and provide a comprehensive OT service to the children of Croydon, their parents / carers and other professionals.
- A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
