Mid Yorkshire Hospital Trust is the provider of a high quality Children’s Therapy Service. We provide specialist assessment and intervention for children within the Wakefield and Pontefract areas. We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Physiotherapist to join our existing team of skilled children’s physiotherapists working within the neuro paediatric team.
We are a children’s service based within Pinderfields General Hospital and Pontefract General Infirmary Children’s Centres. The successful candidate will take on a neuro caseload of children between the ages of 0-19years. Assessment and intervention is completed in the most appropriate setting, school, home or at the Children’s Centre. The service offers in-reach onto the children’s ward at Pinderfields in Wakefield.
As a service we benefit from excellent links within the trust and local education. Facilities available to children’s therapists are excellent, including a sensory integration room, hydrotherapy pool, gym, serial casting clinic, therapy kitchen, wet play and splinting facilities.
The job is cross-site and the primary location may very depending on the needs of the service.
You will be HCPC registered, with excellent clinical reasoning, communication and organisational skills. Post qualification experience within Children’s Therapy is essential.
