Job Description

6 months experience essential

We are looking for enthusiastic and capable individuals to join our Palliative Bank Night Sitting Service in Southampton within the Community. You will ideally need at least 6 months experience of working with palliative patients and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The Service will operate between the hours of 1000 pm until 800 am and will consist of supporting patients who are in the last weeks of their life and who wish to die at home or in their place of residence. The service aims to support vulnerable patients and their families at home throughout the night to ensure continuity of care, aiming to support patients following unexpected, sudden events which would otherwise lead to distress for the patient, or possible hospital admission.
