£830 per hour (days 115%)
£938 per hour (nights 130%)
We are recruiting for a Health Care Assistant with the Palliative Home Care Team. The team provides specialist palliative care to our patients and their families in their own homes, based at Bishop Auckland Hospice and provides a service for patients with life-limiting illness throughout Sedgefield and Durham Dales area.
We are looking for staff with experience in a care environment with a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 2 in Care. Good communication skills and flexibility are required to allow for a full range of shift cover. Current experience in the role is an advantage.
The successful candidate will work in partnership with Patients and Carers, undertaking basic nursing care within the agreed boundaries of their role. You will work to the District/Named Nurse’s care plan, maintain accurate documentation of care given and communicate any change in the Patient’s condition as appropriate.
You will understand the importance of team work and work closely with members of the Primary Health Care Team and other members of the Hospice staff.
Confidentiality must be maintained at all times.
Access to a car is essential.
