Part Time Senior Nurse (hours per week negotiable)
Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for a part-time Senior Nurse to lead our small team of part-time nurses providing an emergency response service within our retirement village. The post would suit a qualified nurse who wants a change of pace and a less busy role in friendly and delightful surroundings.

Castle Village, Berkhamsted, is a retirement village for active, independent-living, over 55s, and is part of the Retirement Villages Group, which owns a number of retirement villages across the south of England. Set in a conservation area, the 150-dwelling village is a lively and active retirement community, with a Grade II listed mansion house and a mix of owner-occupied cottages set within 28 acres of gardens and grounds.

All the properties have emergency alarms, and a qualified nurse is on duty 24 hours a day to respond when an alarm is activated. As senior nurse, you will be leading our small team of contract and bank nurses providing the  emergency response service to residents within the village, as well as general support to the community. It is envisaged that the successful applicant would contract for several shifts per week, but working hours and salary are negotiable for the right candidate.

The benefits of joining Retirement Villages include:

  • Excellent working environment

  • 5 weeks of annual leave

  • Workplace pension scheme

  • Free Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

  • Training

  • Free parking

  • Working within a smaller team environment

  • Free DBS check
