This post will be based in our busy Pharmacy Department at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
Candidates would ideally have GCSE qualifications in Science, English and Maths at Grade C or above. Pharmacy experience is desirable for this post but this is not essential as full training would be given. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a joint qualification of BTEC Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Science with NVQ Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Service Skills.
Applications from candidates who already have the BTEC Level 2 / NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent are also eligible to apply for this post.
Duties will include supply of stock medicines to wards and departments as part of a ward based clinical team, dispensing medicines to wards, aseptic dispensing, extemporaneous dispensing work and delivery of medications to wards and departments.
The successful applicant will be involved in rotational work at Doncaster Royal Infirmary which will include late shift, Bank Holiday, Saturday and Sunday working.
