This position is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine in partnership with Northampton General Hospital and Magpas Air Ambulance.
The successful candidate will be provided with specific training for the role and will be equipped to provide the full range of pre-hospital trauma and medical interventions. You will operate as part of a team comprising a doctor and critical care paramedic drawn from a pool of appropriately trained individuals, providing support to the severely injured by land and air through the East of England and East Midlands Ambulance NHS Trusts.
Post will comprise of shifts split between pre-hospital shifts at Magpas Air Ambulance (Huntingdon) and in the Emergency Department at Northampton General.
Candidates may apply as a stand-alone post or from a recognised StR training programmes as an OOPE. If applicable, appointed doctors must have permission from their local Training Programme for the duration of their secondment.Appointment to this post will not confer a National Training Number (NTN)

There may be 2 rounds of interviews to enable three month notice period for OOPE applications. Some interviews from the 31st of October to the 4th of November and potentially further interviews on the 28th of November to the 4th of December.
