St Francis Unit,Nottingham City Hospital
The service is multi-disciplinary and supports people over 65 experiencing mental health problems or who have dementia.It aims to prevent unneccesary admissions to hospital or long term care and facilitate early discharge from hospital and the opportunity to return home from residential settings.
The post holder will provide physiotherapy input into the service.You will provide specialist assessments and provide support and supervision to junior team members.This is a real opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of a new service.
You will have a BSc/Diploma in physiotherapy and current HCPC registration. You will have proven post qualification experience and have experience of working with this client group and of multi-disciplinary working. You will have a sound knowledge of risk assessment and be able to demonstrate sound evidence based practice.
The service is a seven day service and will require the post holder to work shifts between 7 am and 10 pm. Please note this post could be combined with the 05 wte post in the Gedling and Huckall Intensive Recovery Intervention Service ( IRIS) role to make a full time role from the same base.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
