Job Advert Location Description

Heathfield is a Neuro-Rehabilitation Service which provides specialist nursing care, rehabilitation and support for individuals with progressive neurological conditions (for example: Huntington’s disease, Prion disease, Pick’s disease and Motor Neurone disease).

Psychiatric and psychological input is available for those with associated mental health illness; support includes positive behavioural support for those requiring neuro behavioural support.

The service also has a dedicated unit for adults with complex care needs including disorders of consciousness including respiratory care and support.

Nursing and therapy programmes are tailored for each individual and goals are developed in conjunction with their families to best reflect aspiration. Individuals are supported to take part in activities they enjoy, including sensory experiences, and families are encouraged to be involved through regular review meetings.

Job Advert Role Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Therapy Team at Heathfield, which is under new management within the Priory Group and is benefiting from extensive refurbishment.

The post holder will identify, deliver and coordinate appropriate and relevant treatments and interventions within the field of physiotherapy, in order to maximise the physical rehabilitation and well-being of service users; liaising with the staff team, family and carers as appropriate.

The post holder will hold a HCPC-accredited degree level qualification and will be registered with the HCPC. In addition, the post holder will have experience of working in a neuro-disability/rehabilitation environment.
