We are now looking for a qualified Physiotherapist, to bring their enthusiasm and clinical experience, to work as a vital part of our specialist prosthetics team based in Leicester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Physiotherapist to widen their experience in the highly specialist and challenging area of prosthetics, working with a wide range of patients and as part of a strong multi-disciplinary team, both within the purpose built centre and in the community.

The successful applicant will be passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and will maintain high, professional standards to deliver the best possible service and uphold the reputation of our prestigious brand. They will be decisive and organised, with excellent communication skills and have the ability to be flexible and innovative in their approach. They will work well as part of a team and demonstrate a positive, proactive approach, inspiring and motivating others. They will work with care and integrity, and readily contribute ideas to develop the provision of the service.

The Physiotherapist will use these skills and their professional experience to:

  • Undertake prosthetic assessment and rehabilitation for all new amputees within Leicestershire and Rutland

  • Commence exercise therapy and assessment with early walking aids if required after the full initial assessment has been completed

  • Undertake further prosthetic rehabilitation prior to the patient taking the limb home

  • Continually review patient progress to agreed timescales

  • Provide assessment and rehabilitation for existing amputees when required

  • Onwards referral of patients and liaison with other services if required

This is a fixed term contract for 1 year initially, working 375 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We also welcome applications from candidates who are looking for a part time role or more flexible working arrangements.
