We are looking for a Physiotherapy technical instructor (Band 3) to join our Physiotherapy In-patient team to work along side qualified Physiotherapists assisting with treatments on the medical wards. This role would be based at The Princess Royal Hospital but may require some cover at The Royal Sussex County Hospital.
The successful candidate should have enthusiasm and good organizational skills, enjoy team working and be flexible.The job combines a mixture of practical skills including assisting with patient treatments and rehabilitation where full training would be provided and when deemed competent being allocated a workload of patients who need to mobilise or who have been given exercises to perform. The role also entails supporting the administration component of the team including data collection and inputting; some IT skills would be an advantage. You would be expected to partake in the week end Orthopaedic service for which you would receive overtime pay.
Depending on your experience, you may initially be employed as a Physiotherapy Assistant and upgraded to Technical Instructor 3 once trained and assessed as competent.
Experience of healthcare or an NVQ Level 3 in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Support, Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification would be preferred.
