Job Description

Practice Educator £32,643 -£35,704 per annum pro rata Part time 225 hours per week Sue Ryder, Dee View Court An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Practice Educator to join our team in Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will develop the skills of our clinical staff to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care and quality of life. Dee View Court, Kincorth, Aberdeen is a purpose built neurological care facility which supports its residents to maximise the independence and autonomy of their lives. In this role you will educate and develop both qualified and support staff in their clinical roles and competencies in order to deliver high quality, evidence-based care. You will also oversee volunteer training at the centre. You will contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of education and training and will participate in the mandatory and priority training programme for the centre. Essential Experience and Skills • Experience and expertise as a practitioner in a relevant area • Experience in teaching and learning in healthcare at Level 2 and 3 • Experience of managing/monitoring a budget • Commitment to team working and to the education and development of all staff • Enthusiasm for teaching and learning • Degree in health related subject where relevant palliative or neurological expertise has been developed • Current registration as a health care practitioner • Excellent organisational and communication skills • Ability to network with locality and National Education Groups About Us At Sue Ryder not only do we treat more conditions than any other UK charity in our hospices, neurological care centres and out in the community; we also campaign to improve the lives of people living with them.
