As a Pre-registered Nurse you will report to the Nurse Manager or Head of Unit and will be expected to participate fully in the overall care planning of each resident and ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of the home.
You will learn how to communicate with local doctors regarding the well-being of each resident and understand and assist in the administration of medication in-line with each resident’s care plan.
You will also help in the supervision of care staff, ensuring they perform their duties and care for our residents in accordance with their care plans.

You must also have at least one year of nursing experience and the ability to make accurate records, assess, plan, implement and evaluate resident care and act accordingly if untoward changes occur.
Once registered with the NMC you will report directly to the Head of Unit and will be expected to provide and supervise the delivery of high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with up-to-date, evidence-based professional practice and company policies.
You will be also be given every opportunity for continuing professional development. There is always opportunity for career development at Barchester.
