Project Manager - Electronic Health Care

Job Description

Do you enjoy a challenge? An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager - Electronic Health Record - (EHR), you will be responsible for the development and implementation of PointClickCare's Electronic Health Record (EHR) solution (core clinical, billing and medication administration) in our UK communities. You will need:
  • Relevent project management experience, ideally in the healthcare industry
  • Customer support and/or technical support experience a plus
  • Excellent problem solving and organisational skills
  • Experience using technology as a learning vehicle building and knowledge sharing
  • High level of comfort using Microsoft Office programs
  • High level of comfort using Microsoft Project
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR or EHR) solutions is a plus
  • Proven track record managing multiple projects in a large organisation.
  • There will be 4% of travel - nationally in the UK plus to the US
  • You will need a full UK driving license


  • Responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining project plans for the successful implementation and completion of all rollout phases

  • The position will be responsible for managing the work plan, producing status reports, acting as the key support to the team leaders, identifying and managing issues and risks, regularly providing updates to the Program Manager

  • Manage project activities from planning, to detailed solution design to pilot and full roll-out and implementation.

  • Manage the development of the appropriate project documents, such as: project plans, tools, and approaches to ensure successful implementation.

  • Develop, baseline, and maintain the project plan in MS Project

  • Manage the creation of project implementation toolkits for deployment across the enterprise in collaboration with the various project team members.

  • Prepare agendas, status reports and late task reports for project team meetings

  • Lead project team meetings and facilitate discussions.

  • Facilitate effective communications among all team members and leadership to ensure comprehensive understanding of needs, expectations and requirements.

  • Work as directed with IT, Operations and vendors to ensure we have defined requirements and EHR applications that are in compliance with the strategy.

  • Escalate to and collaborate with program manager on program issues and risks to identify solutions.
