Job Description

Partnerships in Care is proud to announce the opening of our new state of the art site, Wellesley Hospital in Wellington near Taunton. Wellesley Hospital will be opening in January 2017 and will support and work with up to 70 patients with mental health disorders.

With services throughout the country, over 30 years of experience in our sector and highly skilled and experienced teams, we help patients and commissioners find the right care pathways without the need for multiple reassessments.

Our Registered Clinical or Forensic Psychologist role involves:

  • Providing psychological services with support and supervision from the regional Psychologist

  • Assessing and reporting patients’ risk and treatment needs

  • Providing one-on-one interventions to patients to help address individual needs

  • Providing group sessions to patients to address generic needs

  • Contributing to MDT care planning and review

  • Contributing to the CPA process

  • Reflective practice

  • Supervising both psychological and non- psychological staff

  • Contributing to the development of the service

  • Committing to personal professional development

Job Requirements

To be successful as a Registered Clinical or Forensic Psychologist, you’ll need:

An accredited post-graduate qualification in Forensic or Clinical Psychology

Registration with the Health Care Professions Council

Experience in working in a forensic mental health setting

The drive to learn and develop

A commitment to patient-centred care and to values-based and evidence-based practice

A flexible, positive, team-orientated approach
