Band 5 Radiographer– Main X-ray

We also have a new research facility and education centre to ensure Alder Hey leads the next generation of treatments and drugs for children.

We are offering a permanent contract for radiographers to work within a world renowned Trust that has a reputation as an international centre of excellence, Alder Hey is the busiest children's hospital in the UK caring for over 270,000 young patients each year.

The Radiology department is modern and well equipped with a full range of imaging modalities including CT, MR, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Bone Densitometry, EOS, Cone Beam OPG, two Bi-plane Imaging suites, Cardiac and Interventional and a Single Plane Hybrid Theatre due to open later this year.

Our radiographers are offered the opportunity to progress their career and will be expected to take part in the sessional ‘out of hours’ and on–call rotation for which there is additional payment. Additionally, the Trust can provide:

  • A fully supported induction and training in paediatrics
  • A mentorship programme
  • Part time / job share hours
