Job Title: Band 6 Specialist/ Advanced Radiographer

Location: High Wycombe with possible rotation to Stoke Mandeville

Salary: Competitive Hourly Rate

Hours: 375 hours plus on-call/standby

The Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust Staffing Bank is currently recruiting for Specialist/ Advanced Radiographer; this role is to work as part of a team providing radiographic services specialising in a number of areas. The position is rotational within the department in order to maintain competence in multiple roles including general radiography, mobiles, theatre, fluoroscopy and cardiac Cath. Lab.

This position is a multi disciplined role that requires candidates to be flexible, adaptable and willing to support and supervise a team of radiography staff of all grades and students in a variety of areas. The role will involve extended hours including some weekend work as well as out of hour’s service.

In this role you will provide high quality, effective imaging services for specialist and general imaging requests, mobile/theatre work, and fluoroscopy. You will be working closely with radiographers and clinical staff of all grades while providing safe, prompt and effective imaging service to inpatients and outpatients. You will observe local and national guidelines and make sure you are always in accordance with the Ionising Radiations (Medical Exposure) Regulations. You will be liaising with wards and theaters to provide efficient and personal care for patients requiring appointments and complex procedures.

All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and will need to go through a pre-recruitment registration process in order to join the Staffing Bank; this will include providing full 3 years clinical employment referencing, mandatory training, an enhanced DBS and Occupational Health clearance.
