An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist, to be part of the Rapid Assessment & Intervention Team (RAIT) based in Milton Keynes University Hospital Accident and Emergency Department. With the ongoing increasing population within Milton Keynes, RAIT is a rapidly developing team, that prevents avoidable hospital admissions and supports early discharge working with other stakeholders in the ‘Discharge to Assess’ pathway, providing re enablement in service users own homes or as close to home as possible. This post is primarily within the hospital A&E department providing “front door” therapy requirements and may also include involvement within the wider community team.
The post holder will be required to work across / develop skills in all of these areas and will be a forward thinking and adaptable clinician.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to make sound clinical judgements in a fast paced environment. You must be a team player who is willing to work inter-disciplinary within a multi-disciplinary team, with the ability to think flexibly and innovatively.
