Sussex Orthopaedic Treatment Centre (SOTC)

Do you wish to work in a new facility where you will have the opportunity to enhance your specialist skills? If so, the Sussex Orthopaedic Treatment Centre is a purpose built elective orthopaedic centre, which opened in 2006 and is now part of the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals. We carry out approximately 6,500 procedures per year and undertake both minor, intermediate and complex orthopaedic work.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Band 5 to participate as one of our recovery team members. Experience in an acute setting is desirable however in service training will be given.

In brief the SOTC comprises of four operating theatres, a daycase facility and 36 inpatient beds including a 4 bedded Level 1, together with a suite of consulting rooms. We pride ourselves on having an MRSA free centre, excellent patient satisfaction results and ensure our clinical outcomes are closely monitored.

The post holder will complete an orientation period to the clinical area in accordance with the Trust’s induction programme. You will also be supported in your ongoing professional development.
