Bright Selection Ltd are delighted to represent a leading third sector provider in their search for a Registered Manager for an established small children's care home in County Durham. The home has provision of care for up to eight younger people with challenging behaviour and complex care needs.
Dynamic and child focused, you will be joining a highly skilled, committed and experienced residential team. You will need strong leadership qualities, experience in delivering care sensitive to the individual needs of service users, understanding relevant legislation and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels including with external agencies and professionals. A genuine passion and desire in delivering the highest standards of child care in a person-centred approach to the client group is essential.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to manage a fast-paced service and have an enthusiastic and resilient disposition to work well within a changing environment. You will have experience in childcare and of challenging behaviours and previously lead teams in residential childcare settings to deliver excellent outcomes for children and young people.
You will need proven experience in the last five years of working in a position relevant to the residential care of children and young people with at least two years of this being at senior level. You will need a qualification at Level 4 NVQ or above, or equivalent. This is necessary to meet Ofsted registration requirements. Previous or comparable experience of managing a specialist children's home would be essential.
This is a very exciting opportunity for the right person. You should be a driver and have your own transport, there is onsite parking. Salary is £34,000 pa, plus there is an annual bonus scheme which is obtainable, 33 days holiday, continuous development and an opportunity to grow with the company.
