Registered Mental Health Nurse / RNLD


  • Permanent with full-time and part-time RMN / RNLD posts available

For the specific patient groups it caters for, Calverton Hill is their first point of entry to PiC services in the Midlands and permits those patients to be fully assessed and to have an individual care plan formulated for them.

Our Registered Mental Nurse role involves:


  • Providing a high standard of care to people with mental illness and personality disorder

  • Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement

  • Following all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice

  • Contributing to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress

  • At a more senior level, you’ll also need to lead shifts as well as mentoring and supporting student nurses and other members of the team

Job Requirements

To be successful as a Registered Mental Nurse / Registered Nurse Learning Difficulties / Registered General Nurse, you’ll need:



  • NMC Registered RMN/RNLD/RGN

  • Evidence of personal and professional development


    Skills and Experience

  • An understanding of care planning processes and experience of writing care plans

  • Experience of working with service users with various mental health needs

  • Good communication skills both written and verbal

  • The ability to contribute to, monitor and implement changes that improvement service delivery and outcomes for residents
