Cambian Acer Clinic

Cambian Acer Clinic is a locked rehabilitation service providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for men and women with complex mental health
needs, challenging behaviour, and personality disorder.

Rehabilitation is provided in a therapeutic environment, with a level of security matched to individual needs. The aim of the treatment, rehabilitation and re-socialisation programme is to prepare the people in our care either for transfer to conditions of lesser security, or for a life in the community.

Each 14-bed house comprises 14 single studio bedrooms to support our patients in developing independent living skills.

We operate within a social therapy framework. This enables the promotion of consistent managed interactions between staff and patients based on agreed formulation of each patient's changing needs. All staff members are trained and
supported to work in this way. This establishes simple, ordered and reinforced boundaries, creating daily structure whilst underpinning therapeutic activity and keeping staff safe and resilient.
