We have a fantastic opportunity for an RN Level 1 to join our busy Day Therapy Team. The successful candidate will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team, delivering palliative nursing care to patients with life-limiting illnesses. The role involves taking the lead on a specific areas of practice such as supporting the development, supervision and appraisals of Palliative Nursing Assistants to ensure best practice.
The ideal candidate will be RGN qualified with at least 2 years’ post registration experience and the knowledge and skills to deliver excellent patient care; ideally gained within a palliative care environment. You must have excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. A working knowledge of Infection Control and Prevention and the needs of students during placements are desirable, however training will be provided if required. You will need your own transport as the role involves conducting patient assessment in their homes.
The successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS Check and must be eligible to work in the UK.Nottinghamshire Hospice is a non-smoking organisation.
