Registered Nurse - Endoscopy Lister

Job Description

Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Do you have a passion for nursing, excellent communication skills and do you like working as part of a team?

We have exciting opportunities within our Endoscopy Team at present and are looking for an individual who can provide high standards of evidence based care within our state of the art Endoscopy department.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, keen and hard-working staff nurse to join our dynamic team. We work in a challenging yet exciting speciality caring for a wide range of patients. There is great opportunity for personal development and gaining new skills. Endoscopy is an area which offers a variety of training to support this fast moving speciality which is greatly encouraged. We regularly provide support and mentor students attending the University of Hertfordshire.

We support the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, Video Capsule service, and provide a Nurse-led Peg Service. The Trust has been fortunate to be accepted in the 2nd wave of the National Bowel Scope Screening Programme and has started in October 2015. We offer an Endoscopy service seven days a week, and an emergency on-call service 24/7, including weekends and Bank Holidays. Our service is developing rapidly and the prospect of working in a newly consolidated service which has received significant investment gives ample opportunity to learn new skills and gain many competences. Own transport is a necessity.

The successful candidate will work in a collaborative manner with referring clinicians and specialist nurses as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will provide specialist advice, support and continuity of care throughout the patient pathway from admission to discharge

If you are satisfied with a mundane, routine job then Endoscopy is not for you.
