Several exciting opportunities have arisen for Registered Nurses within our dynamic Respiratory Unit. Sherwood Forest Hospitals has a well-respected Respiratory Unit, which caters for patients both locally and nationally, with a wide range of respiratory illnesses.
The respiratory unit consists of 3, 24 bedded state of the art wards, with 50% single en-suite accommodation. The unit cares for patients with a number of respiratory illnesses including, COPD, Asthma, Fibrosis, Bronchiectasis, Sarcoidosis, Lung Cancer and offers a number of treatments at ward level including Thoracoscopy, Sleep Studies and NIV (Non-Invasive Ventilation).
We are seeking to appoint motivated and dynamic Registered Nurses with an interest or background in Respiratory and/or general medical nursing, who are compassionate, caring and will focus on the delivery of high quality nursing care. We are also looking for candidates who are keen to develop professionally in this exciting domain of Respiratory medicine, as the NIV service is looking to expand in the future.
In order to offer the successful candidates a wide range of experiences and to gain a wide range of skills, the Respiratory Unit is offering rotational posts, which will give the candidates the opportunity to work in all 3 three ward areas, to get a full oversight of caring for patients with a wide range of respiratory and general medical illnesses.
The unit offers a supportive and learning environment which endeavours to constantly develop the service, in order that it’s patients can receive the highest quality and most up to date care. The Unit welcomes and will support both newly qualified and experienced Registered Nurses.
