An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) to join one of the units at this elderly and dementia Charity nursing home. All of the residents on this 12 bedded unit have a dementia diagnosis in an elderly nursing home in Prestwich, Manchester. The home is a fast paced environment and the ideal individual will have experience working with dementia sufferers. You will also require a high level of clinical skills, but the patience and perseverance which is necessary when working within memory services.

The home - based in Prestwich, Manchester - has recently received and overall GOOD from the CQC, which included some aspects OUTSTANDING. My client is part of one of the country's leading and award winning healthcare groups. They are looking for an experienced and hands-on nurse (RGN/RMN) to join their team at this elderly nursing home in Manchester. The service provides end of life, palliative and respite care to elderly residents who all have a diagnosis of dementia.
You will be an excellent Nurse (RGN/RMN) with experience in clinical leadership looking for an exciting new Staff Nurse position within a prestigious nursing home for the elderly in Birmingham, West Midlands.
The role of the Staff Nurse (RGN) is:
•To work according to Nursing & Midwifery Council Code
•Promoting the ethos of Person Centred Care
•Assessment of care and health care needs
•Development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care
•To develop care plan's relevant to a patients individual needs
•To ensure all arrangements for the admission of residents are in place
•To ensure the medication rounds are conducted accurately and correct
•To liaise with GP's and all members of the MDT team
As a Staff Nurse (RGN) you will have:
•A general or mental health nursing qualification (RGN)
•Experience of delivering person centred care in a similar environment (RGN)
•Knowledge of caring for the elderly
•Excellent communication skills
