Staff Nurse – Low & Medium Secure Psychiatric Hospital
Location: Crawley, Surrey
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum £1000 welcome bonus
Hours: Full Time & Part Time Contracts Available
* PLUS £1000 forensic allowance per annum
* PLUS Location allowance of up to £3600 per annum
Further Details: We are currently looking for a couple of either newly qualified or experienced mental health nurses (RMN) or learning disability nurses (RNLD) to work within a Secure Hospital situated near Gatwick Airport. The Hospital provides personalised assessment and treatment programmes for service users with complex care needs, histories of offending, along with those who may have failed in previous placements. The Hospital has a combination of medium secure and low secure wards and provides a seamless internal care pathway, supporting and empowering service users in their recovery and rehabilitation.
We welcome applications from newly qualified nurses and offer a fantastic preceptorship programme. We can consider nurses who are looking for either full time or part time hours.

Person Specification: We are looking for a RMN’s, RNLD’s or dual trained nurses. Successful applicants will work as members of a full multi-disciplinary team and will possess excellent clinical, team and communication skills together with vision and enthusiasm to develop the hospital's service model. You will need to have the ability to think on your feet, multitask to a high standard and show exemplary role modelling and leadership skills. Previous forensic secure and/or acute experience is preferable; although applicants should have at least 6 months' experience as a staff nurse preferably working in one of these settings. Preceptor ship Nurses will be considered if evidence of good experience with this service user group evident.
Applicants must be qualified Mental Health nurse ( RMN ) or Learning Disability nurse ( RNLD ) and must hold a valid PIN. All applicants should be eligible to live and work in the UK without restriction.
