We are looking to welcome a new Registered Nurse into our Surgical Assessment Unit, Chalkwell Ward.
The Surgical Assessment Unit is a busy and challenging unit. Patients are admitted from A/E and direct referrals are taken from GP's.There are 18 beds and a GP assessment area. Patients are admitted to SAU with a wide variety of emergency surgical conditions under the care of the general and urology teams. The work load is very varied and interesting, no two days are the same. Following assessment the patients are either treated and discharged, warded or admitted to the unit for a maximum of 3 days.
Your role in include ensuring that an individual programme of care is planned, implemented and evaluated for each patient within own sphere of responsibility. You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team ensuring the delivery of a high standard of care to the patients.
We have 2 roles available:
One at 375 hours a week and one at 30 hours a week.
