Job Description

The BMI Chiltern and Shelburne Hospitals both have opportunities for bank Ward and Outpatient Nurses to join our supportive and dedicated teams. Working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. Regular hours are available and we also have full and part time permanent positons available at both sites. We have opportunities for Wards and Outpatients and there are also Theatre positions available at the hospitals.

The BMI Chiltern and Shelburne Hospitals boasts 6 Theatres between them as well as HDU, Radiology and Physiotherapy Services. The majority of bedrooms offer the privacy and comfort of en-suite facilities, satellite TV and telephone. These facilities combined with the latest in technology and on-site support services, enable our consultants to undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigations to complex surgery.

Duties will include:

  • Co-ordinate, plan, implement and evaluate the care of individual patients.
  • Participate as an active member of the nursing team as a whole.
  • Maintain safe custody, registration and administration of drugs.
  • Assist in other areas of the service as required.
  • Participate in the induction of newly appointed staff.

It is essential that applicants are NMC registered RGN's and you have recent Surgical, Medical or Outpatient experience.
