Registered Nurse (RMN) - Acute mental health - Tamworth, Staffordshire - Salary up to £28,000 dependent on experience

Contract: 37.5 hours per week - Shift pattern: Short days

I am currently looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), experienced in an acute mental health setting to join this small rehabilitation service in Tamworth, Staffordshire. The service itself works to deliver an exceptional standard of mental health nursing to adults suffering from a range of mental health illness including Eating Disorder, Manic Depression and Challenging Behaviour. The service, located in Tamworth, Staffordshire provides dedicated and specialist care and support to 24 residents.

My client is a small, privately owned mental health service which delivers excellent mental health care to both men and women over the age of 18. Offering specialist care for those suffering from complex diagnoses such as self-harming, bipolar, and schizophrenia you will have an understanding of the Mental Health Act (1983). You will have experience working in a similarly clinical and complex mental health environment with patients of a forensic, acute and enduring mental health background. Some patients have a diagnosis of complex, enduring and largely treatment resistant conditions including substance misuse and challenging behaviour.

You will have a sound knowledge of both theoretical and clinical aspects of nursing including developments within your profession. The service aims to provide support to each of their patients in order to enable them to fulfil their goals and take positive steps towards recovery. As part of the multidisciplinary team you will provide intensive therapy to residents which encouraging them to maintain their independence. The service is considered one of the most highly regarded services in the area and they are looking for an accomplished and passionate Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join their team.

As a Registered Nurse (RMN) you will be responsible for:

•To identify the care needs of patients while planning and implementing nursing intervention
•To communicate information accurately on patient care to the relevant parties while adhering to the principles of information governance
•To administer drugs and checking/preparations in accordance with NMC guidelines
•To assist in the induction and development of new and junior staff members

As a Registered Nurse (RMN) you will have:

•Experience in secure or locked rehab setting
•A Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification
•Current and valid registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK
•An enhanced DBS
•Experience of mental health services
•Acute experience (desirable)
•Knowledge of the revised Mental Health Act (1983)
