Registered Nurse (RMN) - Adults PICU - Mental Health Hospital - Widnes, Merseyside - Salary up to £28,000 + Additional Enhancement

I am looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RMN) to join what will be a strong team of nurses on a brand new PICU ward at an established hospital in Widnes, Merseyside. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse that would like to join an exceptional private healthcare provider on a brand new ward. You will play a big part in creating what will be a highly respected and successful hospital ward.

This service is locked facility and provides care for men and women with complex mental health requirements. The hospital has been split into two distinct areas prior to the new PICU ward;

•A locked male Autism Service for the challenging and complex needs of adults with Autism and Aspergers syndrome
•A locked assessment and rehabilitation for women with complex mental health needs and personality difficulties

The Registered Nurse (RMN) will be expected to;

•Applying research based knowledge and appropriate models of patient care as a member of both a multi-disciplinary and the nursing team
•Ensuring that care is provided within an environment which positively integrates race, gender, disability, religion and sexual orientation and meets individual needs.
•Taking charge in the absence of the Clinical Nurse Leader
Supervising the care given by junior staff, i.e., Nurse Support Workers and be able to lead a shift
•Taking responsibility for the guidance and support of support workers, identifying training needs and assist with appraisals for support workers
•Representing the company in a positive and professional manner within the units and externally as required at meetings and other forums

The ideal candidate for this Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) role will:

•Have a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification
•Possess a UK NMC registration and Nursing PIN
•Have experience in a similar environment
•Have the legal right to work in the UK
