Marie Curie are here for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Marie Curie offers expert care, guidance and support to help them get the most from the time they have left.

Our Marie Curie nurses and healthcare assistants work night and day, in people’s homes across the UK, providing hands-on care and vital emotional support. Our Marie Curie hospices offer specialist round-the-clock care. Marie Curie support people throughout their illness by giving practical information, support from trained volunteers and being there when someone wants to talk.

Set in a quiet corner of Hampstead, this purpose-built Marie Curie hospice offers a modern approach to care with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Marie Curie Hospices offer a number of services such as in-patient care, and day services consisting of a variety of complementary therapies. Support for families and carers’ is also available.

As a Registered Nurse in our hospice, you will be a named nurse and part of a small team. We work to provide tailored services that meet individuals’ medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs. To join us, you need the know-how to assess patients and develop holistic care plans, coupled with the motivation to deliver an exceptional service.

We’re big on training. If you’re a Registered Nurse (Band 5) or a Charge Nurse (Band 6) with palliative care experience or a related speciality you’ll have plenty of opportunities to build on your already substantial experience. There’s also a bursary scheme, season ticket / bicycle / PC loan scheme, free parking, management support, clinical supervision and an occupational pension scheme

To join our dedicated, caring team, you will need to be a Registered Nurse with post registration experience, a relevant Nursing Degree and relevant experience – ideally within a care setting. Emotional strength and the ability to work on your own are crucial, though we will of course provide excellent on-going training and support.

Due to the nature of the role a flexible approach including the ability to work nights and weekends are essential.

This role may close early if a sufficient number of applications are received.
