We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated band 5 nurse to join our small team of very experienced Renal Nurses at our Satellite Unit at Ilkeston Community hospital. As a team we are committed to giving our patients a very high standard of nursing care. We are a nurse-led unit, therefore, the successful candidate must possess some acute experience and once established within the team be able to take charge on a regular basis. He/she needs to be able to work as part of a team as well as work on their own initiative.
The post is based at Ilkeston, however, there is the opportunity to rotate throughout the Directorate if desired.
The Renal Directorate offers a Foundation Programme for staff new to renal and an advanced renal course for more experienced staff which is run by our Clinical Education team.
The Renal Directorate comprises of a 20 bedded nephrology ward, a newly refurbished acute unit and 4 dialysis units, 2 of which are based at the City Campus and 2 Satellite Units, one at Kings Mill Hospital and our unit at Ilkeston.
An informal visit is highly recommended so you can see for yourself what the post will entail. It will also give you the opportunity to see for yourself how friendly and accommodating the unit is.
