An exciting opportunity has arisen within Diagnostic Imaging, Radiology Department, for a Band 5 nurse to join our nursing team within a friendly multi-disciplinary environment. If you are a Registered nurse currently working in an acute hospital setting, with 2 years post registration experience, who is enthusiastic, motivated and would like to work in a different specialist area of nursing and learn new skills, this might the job for you.

Imaging nurses provide high quality patient focused care whilst assisting Radiologist Consultants in complex interventional work within the radiology angiographic suite. Current or previous theatre, emergency department or radiology experience would be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

The nurses also assist with specialist procedures within CT Scan including Radio Frequency Ablation, and Ultrasound. Nursing support is provided to all sections of the department attending both inpatient and outpatient imaging and in particular attending emergencies.

Within this role you will be required to join the nursing on call rota for both vascular and non-vascular work to facilitate the out of hour’s service.

Current working days are Monday to Friday with a view to 7 day working in the future.

A visit to the Department beforehand is highly recommended.
