Job Description

Kettering Emergency Department (ED) is expanding its team due to a recent work force review.

The ED is an exciting and unpredictable place of work, the nature and the pace of the job can change dramatically. If you are dynamic, calm, caring and a professional individual who enjoys a challenge then this could be the job for you!

The department offers a wide range of emergency services including minor injuries, adult, children’s and a level 2 trauma unit. You will work in all areas of the department developing your specialist skill sets and knowledge base.

We are seeking to fill the positions of Registered Adult Nurse or Registered Children’s Nurse , to join our friendly and busy department.

• You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, compassionate patient centred care, by prioritising patients using your expert clinical knowledge. Skilled in assessment, planning, implementation and the re-evaluation of care, you will guide the patient through their journey in the department.

• You will be responsible for ensuring the environment and equipment is clean, maintained, tidy and well stocked, confirming the department is prepared for every eventuality. You will act at all times in accordance to the NMC code, local standards of care and policies.

Ideally experience in emergency care or another acute area is an advantage. However, you will be fully supported with further training and with an in house newly developed training package.
