Acute Medical Unit - we offer a friendly and supportive environment to develop a vast range of knowledge and skills in caring for acutely unwell patients, with the opportunity to rotate to other areas within the Emergency Care Centre. Contact Matron Suzanne Nurse on ( Phone number removed )
Cardiology - includes the Coronary Care Unit, a 37 Bed Ward, 12 bed cardio elective bay and 3 cardiac cath labs. We provide opportunities to develop skills in all areas of acute cardiology. Contact Senior Sister Helen Huson on ( Phone number removed )
Gastroenterology (including Guist Ward) - we are an expanding department; posts may include rotation across the two areas, Guist ward and the endoscopy unit. Older Peoples' Medicine - we care for patients requiring short stay or acute care, and those on dementia and fractured neck of femur pathways. We work closely with A&E and the Acute Medical Assessment Unit to support older people. Contact Matron Jane Douglas on ( Phone number removed )
Oncology and Haematology (Mulbarton Ward) - we are a 35 bedded Oncology and Haematology ward caring for acute, newly diagnosed patients, chemotherapy, symptom control and palliation. Contact Senior Nurse Jo Richardson on ( Phone number removed )
Renal Therapies - exciting rotational posts to include the Jack Pryor Dialysis Unit, Langley ward (which specialises in renal and endocrine medicine with facilities for acute haemodialysis), and the home team. Contact Matron Owen Brooks on ( Phone number removed )

Stroke Services – our team care for stroke patients from A&E, providing essential thrombolysis, through to Rehab or end of life care if required. You will have the opportunity to work in both the hyper-acute and acute areas. Contact Matron Jane Douglas on ( Phone number removed )
For applicants who have not worked within an acute hospital setting in the last 12 months, we provide a robust Supervised Practice Programme to refresh your skills in preparation of taking up an acute post in the Trust.
