Colchester, Essex
£16,000 - £17,000 /Year

Job Description

Partnerships in Care is one of the UK’s leading providers of independent specialist secure and step-down care across the UK.

With hospitals around the country, 30 years of experience in our sector and highly skilled and experienced teams, we help patients and commissioners find the right care pathways without the need for multiple reassessments.

Elm Park is a locked rehabilitation unit, specialising in Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). Brain Injury Services (BIS) provides specialised care pathways within PiC for people with acquired brain injury (ABI).

BIS has been successfully delivering neurobehavioral rehabilitation since 1985 to people with ABI whose challenging behaviour prevents attainment of their maximum rehabilitation potential and personal autonomy.

BIS is populated by transdisciplinary teams composed of psychologists, doctors, therapists, nurses, healthcare workers and support staff under the leadership of the Hospital Director and other senior management.

As part of our nursing team you will assist and support the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of patients in the unit and on community trips. Working as part of a transdisciplinary team under the direct supervision of a qualified nurse you will be required to undertake a range of duties involving direct patient contact and interaction.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team and provide high quality care to our patients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who genuinely wants to contribute to the world of care and make a real impact on our patient’s quality of life. This role is suitable for someone who is just starting out in their care career or to an already experienced care professional. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

All positions within Partnerships in Care (PiC) are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Unless specifically commissioned in advance PiC will not consider Applications submitted by or through agencies.

PiC is an equal opportunities employer.

Please read the job description and person specification carefully and ensure that you demonstrate the knowledge, skills and experience required to carry out the role.

Any personal information you provide will be treated in the strictest confidence and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

We aim to write to all applicants informing them of the outcome of their application, but if we have not contacted you after four weeks from the closing date please assume your application was unsuccessful.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
