The care plan is individualized to the service user and may include: Eating * Basic hygiene needs * Social/recreational needs * Nutritional needs - including gastrostomy * Elimination needs - including bowel stoma care. * Communication needs * Moving, handling, positioning, seating, transferring needs * Moving and handling of equipment * Technical support associated with all needs * Supervision regarding maintenance of basic safety needs * Any other patient specific technical care * Physiotherapy and passive exercises * Management of seizure activity if applicable*Behavioural support*

Duties of the Job

  • Prompting medication (care workers)

  • Assist with activities of daily living, domestic duties and personal care

  • Ensure health, safety and welfare of clients

  • Record Keeping - maintaining up to date reports such as care plans

  • Maintain regular communication with branch manager

  • Respect the individuality and confidentiality of each client

  • To work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

Job Specific Requirements

  • Good standard of spoken and written English

  • Minimum 6 months experience
