Relief Support Worker - Thornhil - Southampton

Job Description

Would you like to help support people with learning disabilities to live meaningful lives and learn new skills?

We are looking for creative, trustworthy and energetic individuals to join our team of Relief Support Workers at our Supported Living Services in Thornhill, Southampton. Our services are split into 3 bungalows which are home to 5 fun-loving people with mild to profound and multiple learning disability.

Some of daily things you will be supporting them with include preparing meals, helping them understand their finances, personal care and accompanying them into the community. The people we support like being included and having fun! Some of the things they enjoy include going to the theatre, cinema, going for a coffee and visiting new places. When they aren't out and about they love reading books, completing jigsaws, puzzles, trampolining, watching movies and listening to music.

If you are looking for a job where you have the flexibility to choose when to work, then this is the role for you. As a Relief Support Worker you will be working as and when required. This means you won't be contracted to any set of hours but will be able to work more or less hours depending on the hours being offered to you and your availability.

*An enhanced DBS will be required for the successful candidate (Paid by Mencap)
